Roger Turns 40

My sweetheart turned 40 on January 6th. I can't really say that 40 is old because...I turn 40 in two months. The funny thing is, we both feel the same as we did when we were 20, but here we are 20 years later and all of the sudden people are seeing us as "middle aged". SO WEIRD! Oh, well. I think Roger is extremely handsome and he just gets better with age in every way. We will be married 17 years this March. He makes me happy and I make him happy, what more could we ask for?

My sister Franci, niece Kareesa and Roger's mom Pat were at our home for Roger's party. It was fun to have the house full of people and cook Roger's favorite dinner (Pulled Pork) and make his favorite dessert (French Silk Pie). He got lots of fun presents and he was able to spend time with his kids. It was a great day and it just continued through the weekend as we relaxed while enjoying our first winter snow fall.

Roger is a very special person. Those that know him know exactly what I am talking about. He is a light to the world as he shares his talents and teaches those around him with that incredible mind of his. He is a genuine guy who is honest about how he feels (and is easy to read...he wears his heart on his sleeve). He is a good man full of virtue and conviction for what he feels is right. I am so blessed that he is my husband, my best friend and the father of our children. "Here's to 40 more Rog!"
